The Metamorphic Table: A Bridge Table, Coffee and Side Table

“The table is so much admired at our bridge mornings and its three forms are incredibly practical.”

We were asked by Lady Gisborough to create a drawing room table for playing bridge and when not in use could be used as a coffee table and a side table.

The cornish walnut used for this table was felled prior to 1930. It was privately sourced for the commission and hand cut at our workshop. The metal fittings and mechanisms required very precise and skilful engineering.
